Ludhiana, March 04
A meeting was held with senior officials of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh Sidhu, MLA from the Atam Nagar assembly constituency. Emphasis was laid on resolving potential power-related problems during the upcoming summer season.
PSPCL Chief Engineer Jagdev Singh Hans, Deputy Chief Engineers Surjit Singh and Kulwinder Singh, along with other senior officials, were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu clarified, “I am committed to ensuring uninterrupted power supply for my Atam Nagar family.” He directed the PSPCL officials to make advance arrangements to ensure smooth power supply before the upcoming summer season.
He said that the hanging electric wires in different wards should be fixed; if any pole is crooked, it should also be fixed. It has come to the notice of MLA Sidhu that in many places in Atam Nagar constituency, old boards are installed in front of houses, and poles are installed in the middle of the roads at different places, which cause traffic jams. These should also be installed at appropriate places so that the traffic continues to flow smoothly.
Apart from this, he also submitted a demand letter for installing the required new transformers. He made it clear to the officials that the ongoing work should be expedited and no kind of laxity would be tolerated.
He said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in the state is committed to providing basic facilities to the general public.
