Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Chief Urologist and Transplant Surgeon at Aykai Hospital, was honored and felicitated at the 100th birth anniversary celebration of Sant Baba Jagir Singh at Gurudwara Nanaksar Barundi by Baba Dhana Singh, Baba Paramjit Singh Hansaliwale and other saints. The recognition was in appreciation of his remarkable contributions to society through his expertise in urology and transplant surgery.
With an exceptional record of over 30,000 surgeries, Dr. Aulakh has been a pioneer in kidney transplants, kidney stone treatments, and the management of kidney, prostate, and bladder cancers. His dedication to medical excellence and patient care has transformed countless lives, making him a respected name in the field.
Under Dr. Aulakh’s leadership, Aykai Hospital became the first hospital in Punjab to successfully perform a deceased donor (brain-dead patient) kidney transplant. It also made history as the first hospital in the world to conduct a swap kidney transplant between a Sikh and a Muslim family, promoting communal harmony alongside medical excellence.
